Mountains Beyond Mountains

Often I think - mainly in the heat of finals or midterms - that I would prefer anything beyond the stress of college work, that anything would be less horrible, even desiring the problems of others in lieu of my  own (Do you remember our silly dreams? Passing university exams...). Yet in the first short story, it dawned on me that not in place of, but in addition to the hardships of academia, there are some so unimaginably horrific that conquering them is tantamount to climbing the world's tallest mountain - in essence, climbing the mountain (civil war) beyond the mountains (the stress of regular life).
